The design and fit of the punch button is fine, I like it. I didn't take into consideration
that the GEN 2 pierce mechanism twists when charging causing the punch button to turn and be offset. There is a video showing how to try and prevent the turning but I found that to be ineffective and awkward. When I want to charge the gun I don't want to think about fiddling with punch button alignment. I consider this to be a GEN 2 Umarex design flaw although the twist feature does provide new degas ability so there is a trade-off. My solution was to install a GEN1 pierce mechanism with a spare HDB68 XL punch button I had and it fits and looks great and the GEN1 pierce mechanism doesn't twist. I don't need the GEN2 twist degas feature. So not a HomeDefense-24 issue but the punch button itself for the GEN 2 doesnt seem to be a good idea. The photo is with the HDB68 XL punch button installed with GEN1 pierce mechanism.
